"They just feel good to run in."
At the Kona Ironman triathlon, Sara Peschel from Wired noticed some interesting-looking shoes and was keen to try them out. One run in the Cloudsurfer was enough: She felt the "difference of a soft landing and strong push off in her first dozen strides".
On’s outstanding cushioning design, the “CloudTec®”-sole, caught Sara’s eye – in a good way, as she emphasises. The series of tiny, arch-shaped springs give the shoe a profile that reminds her of a cartoon cloud. Olivier Bernhard, three-time World Duathlon Champion, multiple Ironman winner and Co-Founder of On, seems to have met Saras taste by skipping all the “minimalist” and “maximalist” jargon and thereby eschewing the common design philosophies of the current running shoe industry. The Cloudsurfer’s speedboard, its noticeable shock absorption effect and the “Run on Clouds”-effect impressed and entertained the Wired journalist. Her conclusion: “They just feel good to run in. Nice lacing system. Attractive styling.” Thank you Wired for the entertaining review! Read the full article here Feel the difference Read more about On
