Running can be fun. Racing a marathon can be tough yet fun and extremely rewarding. Whether you are a newbie, a professional athlete, or simply a fun runner, just like there is an On for all type of runners, there is a race for all type of runners. Race the world and add these 6 unique races to fuel your adrenaline and add more fun to your run.

Europe: Jungfrau Marathon

One of the best known mountain marathons in the world. Race at high altitude in fresh Alpine air with a full view of the famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.

Fun Fact: the Eiger mountain is most notably known as one of the world’s most dangerous mountain climb. The north face earning its nickname Mordwand (Murder Wall).

South America: Inca Trail Marathon

Limited to a number of participants, this low key race is perhaps the most spectacular South American marathon. With an elevation of over 3’048m (10’000 ft), the journey begins in Cusco, the archeological capital of Peru. Race the Inca trail through desert, mountain, and rainforest to the lost city of Macchu Picchu.

Asia: Great Wall of China Marathon

It may be tough but select between a marathon, a half marathon or an 8.5km (5.28mi) fun run and race with a steep climb through 5'164 steps of history and dynasties. A cultural exploration with an incredible view.

North America: New York City Marathon

If the big city is your attraction, head over to the Big Apple and race in the world’s largest marathon that courses through the five boroughs of New York City. Race amongst thousands of runners and join in the fun.

Oceania: City2Surf Marathon

Run down under! City2Surf is a popular road running event held annually in Sydney, Australia. A fun run that covers 14km (8.7mi) that attracts all types of runner. Walking is also an option. The race takes you through the city center of Australia’s largest city, only to fly across the finish line at the popular Bondi beach. Perfect for a water cool off.

Fun Fact: Bondi or "Boondi" is an Aboriginal word meaning "noise of water breaking over rocks."

Africa: Comrades Marathon

Seeking for that punch of challenge? Try an ultramarathon reaching approximately 89km (56 mi). The race dates back from 1921 and was founded on the grounds to commemorate the South African soldiers that were killed during WWI. With a cut-off time of 12 hours, the Comrades marathon is reserved for qualified runners.
