Win at the Jungfrau Marathon

Geoffrey Gikuni Ndungu from team run2gether wins the Jungfrau Marathon in Switzerland in the second best time ever. The Kenian was wearing the On Cloudracer.

What a day for Geoffrey and his Team run2gether! The competition was tough at the Jungfrau Marathon. Next to local hero Viktor Röthlin also Petro Mamu the unbeaten Mountain Running World Champiom were keen on winning.

Röthlin sat down constantly at the top, followed by Mamo, Hoshea Tuei and Geoffrey. At km 15, this top group was just over a minute before the first followers and was well on track for a record. Suddenly Röthlin wasn't anymore able to hold the pace with Geoffrey and Mamo and lost track. Mamo took over and distanced himfelf significantly from Geoffrey during the ascending slope. Goeffrey consciously ran at his own pace. As hoped the distance melted to the leader Mamo melted and shortly before 38 km Geoffrey took over the lead. The sympathetic Kenyan finished well in 2:50:28!

Geoffrey's fellow team member Paul Maticha Mitieka showed a great performance too and finished as 6th.

The whole On team is very excited about this extraordinary result in our home country. Thank you guys for putting your faith in the On Cloudracer. Congratulations and have a great flight back home to Kenya!
