"I love Switzerland and I love this race. And of course, I'd like to win. But who doesn't!?"

On athlete Sonja Tajsich from Germany starts optimistically this Sunday at the Ironman in Zurich.

"The Ironman Zurich was my very first Ironman in 2003. I was still a rookie and finished on sixth place. The year after I came back, because I really liked the atmosphere so much and I finished as third – if I continue like this, I will finish this year on place....?? :)"

Sonja Tajsich starts on Sunday with a good optimism. She is in great shape and is really looking forward to give it all. At Ironman Frankfurt, she even realized ones of her best swim and bike times. The only discipline she's worrying about is the run. She could not train as much as she would have wanted to, due to an injury. Her strategy for Sunday:

"I want to swim and bike as fast as in Frankfurt and then, I need to run like in earlier days. If I can do so, then everything should be fine."

Ambitious athlete, mother and fulltime worker - that's Sonja Tajsich. Nevertheless, she manages the timetable so perfectly, that nothing and no one stays unattended. But also for strong women like her, there are some intensive phases she really needs the support of friends and family. Sonja commits what she needs in times like this:

"Delicious food, a tasty Latte Macchiato and a bittel of Erdinger Alkoholfrei, a German beer."

Sonja starts tomorrow at the Ironman Zurich. We all cross our fingers for her and also for all the other On athletes!
