"Mostly I feel tired, exhausted and nervous during intense training and competition phases."

Caroline Steffen will start as the defending Champion tomorrow at Challenge Roth.

Caroline Steffen, winner of Challenge Roth 2013, is called "Xena, the Warrior Princess" for a reason. The Swiss pro triathlete never gives less than 150% when it comes to competing. She admits though, that it is not always easy for her in such intense phases. In such moments, she needs the support from family and friends

"Mostly I feel tired, exhausted and nervous during intense training and competition phases. A delicious meal makes me feel better again. I am not a very good cook and I love it, when my partner David cooks for me."

Right now Caroline is in the middle of a very intense training and competition time. Challenge Roth is one milestone on her way to Kona.

"After Roth I will go back to the Philippines for defending my title ath 70.3 Ironman Cebu. The next race will be my home race, the 70.3 Ironman in Mooloolaba Sunshine Coast. And the absolute highlight then will be of course, the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, for which I am already qualified."

Caroline Steffen started this season with a new Coach on her side. This change was a very good one for the Swiss triathlete.

"I am very happy to have my decision. Chris is a great support on training and race days. The cooperation works efficient and also the results show that Chris and I are a good team. I found my passion for triathlon again. 'Happy trainer, happy racer'."

Caroline will start tomorrow at Challenge Roth. We cross our fingers! Go, Caroline, Goooo for Gold!
