"Roth is a race with a lot of triathlon history and I am happy to be a part of it. The upcoming weekend we celebrate 30 years Challenge Roth – who does not want to be part if that?"

Caroline Steffen will start this weekend at Challenge Roth as the defending champion.

The Swiss Triathlete, Caroline Steffen will start this Sunday, 20th July, at Challenge Roth as the defending champion. She had a very well preparation phase; everything went well, fortunately no injuries so far. The Challenge Roth is very important for Caroline.

"The Challenge Roth is a family business with lots of tradition. I just love the way the Challenge family let flourish the triathlon feeling and atmosphere. It is special. Roth is a race with a lot of triathlon history and I am happy to be a part of it. The upcoming weekend we celebrate 30 years Challenge Roth – who does not want to be part if that?"

The unique atmosphere – especially on the hill course with 10'000 of spectators cheering for the athletes – is not the only reason though, why the Challenge Roth is a very important one for Caroline Steffen.

"The Challenge Roth is one of my most important races this year besides the Ironman Melbourne and Hawaii. The competition gives me more insights of where I stand in terms of training and what I will still have to improve for the World Championships in Hawaii."

Caroline Steffen's goal for the upcoming weekend is definitely to defend her title.

We cross our fingers for her.
